Our aim is to develop strategies to transform buildings and urban, sub-urban and rural neighborhoods into energy efficient and decarbonized systems. 

To achieve this goal, we develop modelling strategies in relation to multi-energy systems starting from the component to district scale with different level of accuracy. This includes the modelling of geo-dependent energy demand, renewable potentials and other heat resources. A focus is put on new methods, models and tools for the analysis, optimization and control of energy-systems, with emphasis on energy hub and multi-energy systems. At the higher scale, we utilize data-driven or hybrid approaches for topics related to energy systems impact studies, smart cities, digitalization, and to link bottom-up and top-down assessment approaches with each other.
